There's something about Maryland-breds at OBS 😍 This gray colt by Kobe's Back (Hip 1115), bred by Barak Farm, sold for $375,000 to John P. Fort from the consignment of Mayberry Farm. He breezed an eighth in :9.4!

Hip 147, a filly by Cupid, sold for $100,000 to Jeffrey E Mackor II, Agent for Keith Johnston. Consigned by RiceHorse Stable (Brandon & Ali Rice), she was bred by Sherman Chin and breezed an eighth in :10.2.

As many have heard, Dortmund has been sold to South Korea. To clear up any confusion, Bonita Farm had no hand in his sale. Bonita Farm never had any ownership of Dortmund but instead acted as a boarding facility for his breeding career.

We had the pleasure of hosting the Mount Carmel Hounds. Thanks to all for such a great day!🦊🏇

Preakness memories burn bright

We may not yet be sure of when “Maryland, My Maryland” will ring out at Pimlico this year – and whether there will be an “anointed throng” in the stands to hear it (verse 5 of James Ryder Randall’s anthem to the seventh state) – but we can be certain that 37 years ago the Preakness was...

A Beautiful Day at Historic Bonita Farm in Darlington, Maryland!!!🏇🐴❤️😎
We're so proud of Elizabeth Moorman, an alumni of the Maryland Thoroughbred Career Program (2019), who recently completed her Maryland Horse Foundation Work Experience Program internship at Bonita Farm!

Big Big Congrats and Thanks to Kevin.
I'm so glad that Sgt. Chris Parrish could stop by our reception on Saturday to represent the board and membership of the Harford County Deputy Sheriff's Union 1989, Inc. Our BBQ event on Sept. 18 at Bonita Farm is free to all Harford County Sheriff's Office Deputies and Corrections Officers. Thanks to all of you for keeping us safe. You have my full support always!
And they’re off on Opening Day of the Pimlico Summer Meet as it was a Slo-Mo Photo for Greek Prince’s win in the opener on an amazing ride by Yomar Ortiz for owner/trainer Georgia Andreadakis as racing remains at the Home of the Preakness this summer with emergency track resurfacing at the typical home to summer racing in Maryland, Laurel Park. And then it wasn’t close at all in the 2nd as Vibrancy was much the best with Pimlico’s Spring Meet riding champion Charlie Marquez in the irons. And how cool is this in the 3rd, a bird’s eye view from the roof of the historic grandstand of Sommer Velvet’s win for Bonita Farm and trainer Kevin Boniface!
Big Congrats on Breeding and Training a wonderful Filly.
so happy for Dortmund
💚
Fasig-Tipton’s Midlantic Two-Year-Olds in Training Sale has begun and there are plenty of nice Maryland-breds to keep an eye on, including Hip 245 - a filly by Bonita Farm’s Kobe’s Back out of Tiz a Valentine 😍

Watch live at FasigTipton.com!
It's May 1st and that means it's time to flip your calendar to reveal this stunning thoroughbred from Bonita Farm.
And the recent weather really speaks to this month's quote!

This month is brought to the community by C & L EXCAVATING, INC. and photographed by Caught by a Flash Photography.

Horsing Around in Harford County was created in partnership with our friends at The Mill. Stop by and visit them at one of their 7 locations! The Mill of Bel Air, The Mill of Whiteford , The Mill of Black Horse, The Mill of Hampstead, The Mill of Hereford, The Mill of Kingstown and The Mill of Red Lion.
Enjoy! ❤
Here is another favorite of mine from the Horsing Around in Harford County Calendar project. This one is from Bonita Farm, located in Darlington. I love that the bay is right between the two chestnuts. It is also such an incredible view; you can see so much of the farm including the track, training barn, and even the church. 🐴📷💞
📸: Bonita Farm's homebred Deputed Testamony, co-owned with Francis P. Sears, served a 2 3/4-length score in the 108th Preakness.

"Who could imagine that when the latch was sprung, Deputed Testamony would run himself into the record books in the most brilliant of fashions?" wrote Snowden Carter in the June 1983 issue of the Maryland Horse.

Let us know who your favorite Mid-Atlantic-bred Preakness winner is! This survey will be up for the next two weeks ➡️ https://bit.ly/3c8DLlm
Hi! I used to follow Dortmund's racing career and I remembered that he went to stand stud at your farm. Do you have any pictures that I can put on his Horse Racing Nation page? Not their FB page but their online magazine page and the big time race horses all had their own page.
