When somebody iconic comes to town, we open up on a Monday night and put together something fun.

So this Monday, August 24, we are pulling out all the stops to welcome Gonzalo Laínez, joining us all the way from Spain, for an evening of Spanish wine, tapas, and stories from the Príncipe de Viana Wine Group.
We’ll taste five wines while Gonzalo takes us behind the bottles, vineyards, and winemaking traditions that make them special. Meanwhile, we’ll be feeding you an assortment of Spanish-inspired tapas for an evening of regional delicacies and wine pairings.

Ashley is holding it down at Joui today, which is a bit of a treat because she doesn’t normally work Wednesdays. So if you’ve been looking for a reason to come see her, here it is. Consider this your sign. Your nudge. Your very official Wednesday invitation.

Desperate times call for desperate pleasures.

Saturday at Joui is the second installment Sensory Sessions hosted by katie mathews aka kaate

Kaate: Chef. DJ. Photographer. Artist. Yogi. Fashion icon. What can’t she do? Join her as she guides us on a journey to reconnect us to our bodies, to one another, and to the simple pleasure of being fully present.

The mind has a habit of wandering, but the body is always here, waiting to be delighted. It’s in the aroma of a glass before the first sip, the way your mouth waters in anticipation of the first bite, the instinct to move when the right song comes on, and the feeling of music carrying you somewhere words can’t. Throughout the evening, you’ll enjoy thoughtfully paired food and drinks, a one-night-only dessert pulled from the vault, and a downtempo DJ set from Kaate from 7–9pm. Then we’ll turn up the energy with a late night dance party from 9–11pm. Expect Arabic techno, acid house, and yes, a little tasteful slt pop because we see you, hunny.
