These tiramisu cinnamon rolls are soft, gooey, espresso-filled rolls layered with brown sugar, cocoa, cinnamon, and a rich mascarpone cream icing. The coffee filling gives them that classic tiramisu flavor, while the buttery bottom layer makes every bite extra sticky and bakery-style. Perfect for brunch, holidays, weekend baking, or anyone obsessed with coffee desserts.
INGREDIENTS
Dough
3/4 cup warm milk
1 pack instant yeast
1/4 cup sugar
1 tsp instant espresso
1 egg + 1 egg yolk
1/4 cup melted unsalted butter
3 cups bread flour
3/4 tsp salt
Gooey Bottom Layer
1/2 cup softened unsalted butter
1/2 cup brown sugar
1/4 cup white sugar
2 tbsp heavy cream
1 tsp vanilla
1/4 tsp salt
Coffee Filling
1/4 cup softened unsalted butter
1/2 cup brown sugar
1 tbsp dark cocoa powder
1 tbsp instant espresso
1 tsp cinnamon
1/4 tsp salt
Mascarpone Cream Icing
3/4 cup mascarpone
1/4 cup heavy cream
2 tbsp sugar
1 tsp vanilla
Cocoa powder, for dusting
INSTRUCTIONS
Mix warm milk, sugar, melted butter, and yeast in a large bowl.
Add eggs, salt, instant espresso, and flour. Knead 8–10 minutes.
Cover and let rise for 1 hour, or until doubled.
Mix the bottom layer ingredients and spread into the baking tray.
Mix the coffee filling ingredients until smooth.
Roll out the dough, spread filling evenly, roll tightly, and cut into 8 rolls.
Place rolls over the gooey bottom layer and let rise 1 more hour.
Bake at 350°F for 25–30 minutes, checking around 23 minutes.
Mix mascarpone, heavy cream, sugar, and vanilla until creamy.
Spread over mostly cooled rolls and dust with cocoa powder.
