What people think owning chickens is like:
Collecting rainbow eggs in a magical flower garden while holding a perfectly behaved rooster and looking like a cottagecore princess. ✨🌸🥚

What owning chickens is actually like:
Standing ankle deep in mud at 7am, covered in feed dust and mystery p**p, arguing with a hen named Linda because she laid her egg in the wheelbarrow again. 🐓🌧️😂

And somehow…
I still wouldn’t trade it for anything.

We’re getting closer and closer to 500 followers… and honestly, that feels a little unreal to us. 🥹🌙

Moonfeather Homestead isn’t a big farm with employees or fancy buildings.

It’s just our little family of four…
muddy boots,
garden beds,
late nights,
tiny chicks in brooders,
children carrying chickens around like babies,
and a whole lot of love poured into this dream.
