SFH UPDATE:

Edmonds Eggs is doing an impromptu hatch and will be setting eggs Tuesday September 1st.

Swedish Flower Hens are on the list of potential eggs to set. If you are interested in late season chicks let us know!

Sires are Honzík and Meadow.

ROOSTER CAMP 2026-1 UPDATE!
Progress Reports

Meadow’s genes must be such a mellow influence on these boys that they have been one of the easiest boys to raise. There has been very little need for spankings for any of them and all are nicely engaged, none too skittish none too bold. The hormones are in but no one is taking it badly, these boys have been the most mellow group yet!

It is safe to say a couple more weeks of observation will see them ready to graduate rooster camp and be ready for flocks of their own! These boys are doing great!

SEAGLASS GEM UPDATE:

The ladies are on fire with their laying, as their genetics said they would be. There are currently 7 on property (two younger ones) and their little eggs fill the egg basket quite prolifically 😵‍💫😁. (Picture of a pile of their eggs in a basket in the comments, with a regular Gem egg in the middle.)

We had a good photo op the other day so here they are as adults!

They are a huge success and we are thrilled with our little project so you can definitely expect them to be in our 2027 line up!

SFH BREEDER UPDATE:

Someone seems very proud of himself today after being officially told he is staying on the farm to be a 2027 breeder for Feathered Muses /Edmonds Eggs.

We always knew Alvin was something special so no sense waiting to announce it, it was after all a foregone conclusion. This little love bug will not only be bringing a good palette of colors but the sweetest personality we want in our next generation.

As with all the breeders, an appropriate name is given once it is settled they are breeders therefore we are proud to introduce “Rainbow” or BOWIE for short! Bowie was a stand out from the very beginning and had only gotten better with time. He keeps getting more and more colorful so he really is the whole package.

We are so excited to have you with us dear sweet Bowie!

ROOSTER CAMP 2026-1 UPDATE:

Well… I guess when you’re having a ton of fun with the boys, it’s a “bros before hens” kind of a batch 🤷‍♀️.

ROOSTER CAMP 2026-2 UPDATE:

The next set of boys have finally been “weaned” by momma hen and their personalities are starting to shine. This group was a gene refresh so not related to what’s on property and one is already a stand out and will very likely be a Feathered Muses breeder when he passes rooster camp later this year, and there is no doubt he will 😊

The 2027 breeding season will have some exciting new things coming. Besides breeding the best personalities there will also be a ray of SUNSHINE that, along with the most amazingly colored Meadow, is what makes SFH dreams come true.

SEAGLASS GEM UPDATE:

We have a full comb and wattle, we are fully dilated and now we are accepting roosters.

We are on constant baby watch, any day now our first baby egg should be laid!
