For the Love of Fluff

For the Love of Fluff Have a small flock of chickens, ducks, and geese. Sometime in the future look to expand to cattle and pigs. Some of these are seasonally.

We offer eating and hatching eggs, chicks, ducklings, and meat birds.

My broody hen was successful in hatching out 3 ducklings. It appears we have 2 blue Swedish's and an appleyard.

Hey everyone! Just wanted to give an update the egg stand is officially up and going! It will be open 7:00am- 7:00pm. Can pay by cash or Venmo. There is a cash box and my Venmo QR will be listed on it.
There are cameras set up so please be honest. They do allow me to get faces and your vehicle! The money we get pays for their food and most of their bedding for the year. If you don't know the address all you have to do is Google maps For the Love of Fluff and it will take you right to us!
Later in the summer we will have veggies available.

Been a busy Sunday around here. Got the stand all done, so that will be good to use early this week. Got the garden planted and got everyone switched on pastures. Working on getting the chicks set up out in a section of the run.

The egg stand is coming along. Work on it a little every evening.

I don't always brag this guy up enough. He's always so supportive of my dreams. For the last 4 years we've done egg pick ups by appt, and I finally made the decision to do a stand. I told him I want to build one, and all he said is send me pics of something you want. I did and we went to get the stuff.
So some time this month the stand will be open 7-7 for duck and chicken eggs. I will still take orders. Then later in the summer I will put fresh veggies out.

Here's our drake Emery who is a Welsh Harlequin duck. Along with a couple Welsh Harlequin hens. The 2 pictured do not have names, but the 3rd who I wasn't able to get to join is named Harley.

The Welsh's are probably my favorite duck breed we have. They are also a good dual purpose breed, and came from Wales. They actually were developed from khaki campbells from a color mutation. They have 2 different color phases Gold pictured below or Silver where they get more black markings on their back.

They tend to be docile, friendly and curious. They are excellent foragers, and very protective mothers. Their weight can get up to 5.5lbs laying up to 150 large white or pale green eggs a year.
