Hwy 49 Farms Pasture grazing animals for better soil, better forage, and better tasting food. We don't use harsh chemical or synthetic fertilizers on our pastures.

HWY 49 Farms is a local regenerative agriculture farm located in the small town of Denton, NC. We pasture raise cattle, sheep and goats with plans to add pigs, chickens for meat, and chickens for eggs. We believe animals raised in a healthy environment will make for a happier animal and make better tasting, healthier food. Therefore, our animals graze on green pastures with frequent rotations to k

eep the ground from being overgrazed. We use the animal's manure to fertilize the ground. We believe our techniques will improve the soil health which will create better eating forage for our animals which will produce quality food.

Farmer John and Levi have been mending a broken cannon or leg on our most recent lamb. It's healing well. We are not sure how it happened. We suspect a larger animal stepped on it.
