✨MY DECEMBER 2024✨

A good part of my December was spent visiting my family in Colorado for Christmas where we went to Boulder, Denver, and Fort Collins! My parents are always so excited to show me their new faves and it’s such a treat every time 🤍 and for NYE I got to do a cookie swap with my friends, didn’t they come out so cute!!

Now, not to spoil such a fun post full of genuinely good eats…

I also took some time this month to think of what running this account meant to me this past year and I simply realized it’s… not as fun as it used to be. And why would I put time into a hobby that doesn’t even give me joy anymore! 🥹

Im going to take a break? post way less often? come back when its fun again? never return? idk! nothing ever has to be permanent if I don’t want it to and that’s the most reassuring part 💖

✨ MY NOVEMBER 2024 EATS ✨

This month we had an early Friendsgiving where I made flan and Claire Saffitz’s brown butter corn muffins that were YUM! Incredibly thankful to have friends that I can make this for 🥰 we also went back home to Miami for Thanksgiving to spend time with family & try out some new spots we missed along with some old faves 💖

💘 PARIS TRIP 2024 💘

You would not believe how many pastries we ate & how many steps we walked in our 8 days in Paris 🥹 it had been over 10 years that I last went to Paris so I was very excited to visit as an adult! We visited the Eiffel Tower, the Louvre, the Versailles Palace, & more museums and historical landmarks 🥰 The pastries and art are my absolute favorite highlights of the trip, and it hurts to think there’s still so much to explore 😭 have you been or would you like to go? would you be interested in hearing more 🫣

💖 MY SEPTEMBER 2024 EATS 💖

✨ MY AUGUST 2024 EATS ✨

its the way I get excited every time a new seasonal / collaboration ice cream flavor comes out 😭

My all time fave is back at it again with another hit, this time a collab with that pays homage to Ben’s Persian childhood ice cream 💛 It’s available online and at scoop shops, like the one at the I went to!

🌟 Bastani Sonnati is described as “a razor sharp balance of saffron, rose water, and pistachio” and it nails each of those imho! Rose can sometimes be an overwhelming flavor but its actually pretty saffron forward with hints of rose and pops of pistachio in the best way possible 🥰

Throwing it back to when we were hard craving some Colombian food and found in Doraville! 😻 They have other locations in Alpharetta, Lawrenceville, and Duluth when you need that good homemade tasting Latin food 🥰

▫️Bandeja Paisa (steak, rice, sausage, pork belly, egg, salad, plantains, arepa) - a traditional Colombian dish that is essentially an entire feast for one 😤 everything was so flavorful and filling, would love to go back and try their other grilled meat platters!
▫️Pechuga a la parrilla (rice, salad, French fries, plantains, grilled chicken breast) - a classic love of mine, few things compare to a plate of grilled meat and rice from a Latin restaurant 🥹

In what’s basically a love letter to Dessert Person and What’s for Dessert, this food photo dump shows a few things I tried out when my parents were visiting 💗 Everything has Claire’s “not too sweet, just sweet enough” trademark that I personally enjoy! it also reinforced that baking with and for loved ones is my love language - it may not be made beautifully but it’s def made lovingly 🥰

▫️Almond Butter Banana Bread - I’ve made this at least three times now that I can label it a classic!! As a sucker for the sweet and savory combo, this serves as my ideal snack or breakfast 🫡
▫️Blue and White cookies - the epitome of a cakey cookie! The flavors are so refreshing and I’d love to try it as the OG Black and White too 🥲
▫️Marbled Sheet Cake - made this one for my mom’s bday and it was a total treat 🥹 the ermine cream cheese frosting was literally so delicious and the cake was the perfect balance of fluffy and dense!! (probably from the mayo 👀👀)
