Day one of the 2026 North American Bourbon and Whiskey Competition is underway.
Our judging team was joined by Ryan Negley, Nino Marchetti, and Jennifer Sutherland, who quickly adapted to our proprietary double-blind judging system. Lunch was catered by the Kalita Grill of Lafayette.
We had 13 judges at 3 tables, and so far, we have awarded 7 double golds.

The twelfth annual North American Bourbon and Whiskey Competition is presented by Wine Country Network, a global leader in beverage competitions and ratings.

The Top 24 winners from the NABWC will be showcased at our exclusive VIP, media, and trade event in New Orleans, timed to coincide with Tales of the Cocktail. Buyers, bartenders, brand ambassadors, and press will be there, giving distillers a key audience for their award-winning product. Reserve your spot now to connect with them.

Antoine’s is the oldest family-run restaurant in the United States. It is famous as the birthplace of Oysters Rockefeller and for popularizing many French-Creole classics, including broiled oysters. Their chefs will serve culinary delights to pair with the featured beverages.

The North American Bourbon and Whiskey Competition will take place on July 11 to 12, 2026.
The 2026 beverage list will be published on Monday, July 13, 2026.

The 12th annual North American Bourbon and Whiskey Competition (N.A.B.W.C.) is now open for entries. Beat the deadline, enter before June 30th.

N.A.B.W.C. is the only competition where American Single Malt goes head-to-head against Bourbon and the rest of North America's native whiskey styles, evaluated double-blind on a 100-point scale by certified spirits professionals, sommeliers, and trade buyers using the Neat™ Spirits Evaluation glass.

New for 2026: a top-tier Platinum award for spirits scoring 98+ points, and Double Gold winners (95+) advance to our Best of Show round for a final evaluation by our senior judging panel.

Every winner receives a physical die-cast medal and a royalty-free digital medal with their actual score.
