Good morning family and friends. I would like to share our story how Chico’s Chili & Spices began long before it ever had a name, a label, or a bottle.
Growing up, our family kitchen was always filled with the smell of green chile, red chile, menudo, and pozole. Those meals weren’t just food — they were traditions, shared week after week, year after year.
What started at our kitchen table grew into homemade burritos sold around town, a food trailer in Salida, Colorado, and eventually Chico’s Mexican Restaurant. To protect our family recipes, our spice blends were created — the same blends used in our restaurant and later shared in grocery stores across Colorado.
Though life led us to pause for a time, the love for these flavors never left — and neither did the people asking for them.
Today, Chico’s Chili & Spices is being brought back with the same heart, the same traditions, and the same authentic New Mexican–style chile that started it all.
