The Beginning of 5f Farm

Hello,

Thank you for viewing our page. We are the Fontenot’s, Mark, Noel, Julia, Raelyn, and Kinsley, the “5f’s”. I grew up as the kid who always brought a dog, or cat, or snake, whatever may be the case home. When I was in 7th grade, my parents bought me my first full blooded dog., Zeus, a black-bi Australian Shepherd. I was hooked. I have had Aussies off and on ever since. In 2016, My wife and I were fortunate enough to purchase our little 5 acres of Heaven in Dequincy, La. , and get our home built in 2017. We had 3 acres in North Sulphur years ago, moved back into town, and then back out to the country, where we all belong. We have had animals throughout our life together. Once me moved out to DeQuincy, the farm began, it is still a work in progress, and not perfect, but it is ours. We decided we wanted horses, rabbits, goats, chickens, dogs, cats, etc. And so it began. Our three daughters, also love animals, and we as parents thought bringing them along on this adventure would teach them responsibility and a work ethic. Although we have several breeds of dogs, we chose to breed the Australian Shepherd, the best breed on the planet, period. We want to responsibly carry on the breed and all they have to offer. All of our puppies are raised with love and proper vet care, and are ASDR registered. We chose to breed Shetland Ponies, a great pet, or kid breed. Ponies can do anything a big horse can! My wife has always loved birds, and she started the chicken flock, with just a few mixed chicks. I ran with it to have several breeds, some rare. The rabbits were also my doing for the most part. Mini Rex, Holland Lops, and Netherland Dwarfs. The goats, Nigerian dwarf and mixed, were a joint effort, but started with Raelyn wanting a goat for her birthday!? I recently brought pot bellied pigs into the mix as well, what is a farm without PIGS!? We hope you enjoy our page, and if you, or anyone you know, is looking for any of the animals we offer, give us a shout. We also enjoy people bringing the kids out just to browse and experience the animals!!
