OWNER HIGH LIGHT OF THE DAY

This is one of our "younger" owners. He made us grandparents, and instantly became our whole world.
He is a born and raised Southsider. He will be a freshman at Lincoln High School next week ( insert Grandma tears) He is also playing freshman football this year. He's handsome, is a bit quirky like his mom, but ALWAYS ready to help his grandparents when needed. Hopefully he will still be running Papa Daves many years down the road.

Its a beautiful, cool day to come see us at the Southside Sunday Market today. We have really good specials today. Whole chickens and racks of ribs are waitng for you. Parking directly behind our trailer, so in case it starts to rain you won't get to wet, but hopefully it doesn't rain. We will be here rain or shine regardless. We also have fresh squeezed lemonade, my opinion is better than the fair, and we have our Papa Dave t -shirts. Hope to see you !

Shall we take a minute to discuss the, somewhat forgotten, menu items on Papa Dave's amazing menu. Although Dave is pretty much the cook of everything, he is following a few "old" family recipes of my mom's. You will often see, Grandma Trevas potatoe salad, or baked beans on the menu, and some may have been lucky enough to know her, and taste the "originals", but I'm here to tell you, we really have perfected them to taste the same as hers. Anyway enough about Papa Dave's tasty food.😅
Back to the forgotten items...the desserts! Many of these are also Trevas recipes. Some with my added touches, that I'm sure she would approve of. Everything is made from scratch, pies are 100% homemade crust, and so are all the fillings. Im sharing a before and after picture of a caramel apple pie, that was a pre order for a customer tomorrow, which is also an option, if you ever want one, just reach out. I'm also sharing the dessert for tomorrow, apple crisp. So whenever you visit Papa Daves, don't forget the made from scratch "forgotten desserts" That way you can see he's not the only one that knows how to cook 😊
