The Taiwan night market was hectic busy but the food was pretty goodI was impressed at how much Taiwanese street food was available!

From stinky tofu to wheel cakes to Lu Rou Fan, this festival had so much Taiwanese street food. The lines were really long but luckily I had friends who came early and were able to secure some food for us!

Was bummed we didn't get to have Qilin Dumplings but I was happy they sold out!

Saw that Noble Village is getting a new ramen bar! 🍜👀

I stopped by to grab some sushi and noticed the new ramen bar area, which looks really nice! They also have a bar area now, right next to White Wolf Café

Noble Village is turning into quite the foodie destination! They already have a sushi bar, a patisserie cafe, a drink bar and a Japanese supermarket with a whole section dedicated to takeaway sushi and sashimi. And now, an upcoming ramen bar too?!

I can't wait for it to open so I can try their ramen! 🍜

Needed something comforting, so I stopped by Hotaru for a bowl of chicken katsu curry 🍛

I also got a side of squid karaage, which was really good! I actually prefer this over regular chicken karaage. The squid was crispy and tender, and I could easily order this again.

Hotaru also does pretty good ramen, but I was in the mood for rice this time and they never disappoint!

I've always wanted to try a Korean facial and KLARNZ SKINCARE | Korean Facial specialises in Korean facial and body sculpting treatments!

They use Korean skincare products and specialised machines imported from Korea to bring Korean skincare treatments right here to Novi!

I tried their Signature K Glass Skin Facial, and the whole experience was so relaxing! I particularly like the lymphatic drainage massage, it felt really good and after my skin felt so smooth and dewy!

Once finished, they showed me a corner with a Dyson hair dryer and hair care products for me to restyle my hair and fringe! Service here was simply excellent!

Found a Taiwan Night Market happening this Saturday!

There will be around 12+ local vendors, with a mix of food and merchandise, so it looks like a fun little community night market if you’re looking for something to do this weekend!

And Qilin Dumplings will be there! 🥟 If you’ve been wanting to try their dumplings but can’t make it to their store on weekdays, this is a great opportunity to check them out.

It’s FREE to attend and they’re asking everyone to register so the vendors can get an idea of how many people to prepare for

I like that the dim sum at Kung Fu Noodle House comes out hot from the dim sum cart!

I usually don’t use a menu, I order what I want from the cart, or ask the cart lady if there’s something I don’t see. But I do think having a menu would be helpful for anyone trying dim sum for the first time, especially if you’re not familiar with all the dishes.

And just to clarify my comment about the har gao in my video: I don’t mean that it was awful this time! It was actually really good the last time I had it, so this time it just didn’t quite hit the same mark for me.

The new flavours keep coming! 🍦

Now it’s guava ice cream! As usual, I bought just one to try at 168 Asian Mart, and I actually really like it!

It definitely has that guava flavour, although sometimes it almost tastes a little like soursop to me. It’s light with a subtle floral sweetness but isn’t overly sweet at all. Really pleasant, so I’ll definitely get this again next time!

I also spotted this at H Mart, but they only sell it in a box of 3, they don’t sell them individually

Tried the new Crabby Sweetest Month menu at Toms Oyster Bar Royal Oak ! 🦀

We started with the crab rangoon nachos to share, and I did NOT expect them to be this huge! They’re super crispy and topped with sweet chilli sauce and spicy mayo. The Alaskan roll came with a fun dry ice presentation, although I wish it lasted a little longer!

We also had some oysters. I wanted something on the sweeter side, so our server recommended a couple. They were smaller in size, but they were fresh and sweet like they said, so we were happy with those

For drinks, I tried the Witch’s Brew which is their Halloween cocktail. It’s green and comes out bubbling like a little cauldron! It does have vodka in it though so it was a bit too strong for me.

We also tried the Cajun crab pasta, which was pricey but did come with pieces of snow crab in it. The crabby pot pie was more like a deconstructed pot pie, with the puff pastry served on the side. I think I would’ve preferred it served as an actual pot pie because there was a lot of filling and not enough pastry for me

For dessert, we shared the caramel espresso martini soft serve and carrot cake. The carrot cake was nice, but it is A LOT. We’re going to be eating carrot cake all week 😂

But the espresso soft serve? SO good. This is something I could easily finish all by myself. It tastes like a caramel tiramisu ice cream!

Who needs Din Tai Fung when you've got Bao Bao Asian Eatery in Ann Arbor 😋

Their crab meat soup dumplings are DELISH!

Also love their shrimp dumplings and the pan fried chicken buns (sheng jian bao) are soooo good!
