💐A little farm stand explanation💐
A few people have reached out asking why fresh flower bouquets aren't always available in the stand—and it’s a very valid question, especially because we are a flower farm flooded in flowers right now!
We grow lots of flowers for lots of reasons…the beauty, the enjoyment, to share with others, and of course, for our environment and the pollinators.
A few weeks ago, my sister came for a visit and helped me harvest one day. She had such a difficult time cutting the flowers. She kept saying, “The butterflies are on the flowers and I feel like I’m killing them.”
I just couldn't let it go after she said that!
The truth is, flowers that don't sell eventually end up in the compost pile. So my husband and I made the collective decision that we are only going to cut flowers that have a home and save the rest for the wildlife and pollinators.
So, if you see an empty farm stand, it doesn't mean we don't have flowers, we have plenty!! They are just waiting for their turn😀
Message or comment below. I will cut you something special, specifically for you, and the flower gods will smile🌞
And don't worry…the bees and butterflies will still have a pluthera of abundance!
I hope this clarifies..... orders are open all week.
The bees and butterflies thank you, and so do I!
Happy days,
