Happy Thanksgiving from all of us at the Funny Farm!!

An animal was drooped off in our yard during the night. We think it is a cat due to bag of cat food in the carrier. We have not seen the cat (or animal) at all. With all of the coyotes around here, I am afraid they may have gotten the cat.

We appreciate the trust people put in us to care for animals, but this could have been handled a different way and then the animal would be safe.

The person who left the cat must have cared for it since they had several blankets and food in the carrier and the carrier was placed behind some straw bales to protect it.

It has bothered me all day because I am not sure what has happened to the poor cat. I will continue to watch for it. If anyone knows anything about this animal, please let us know.

I realized I never introduced our second new bunny. He came to us a few weeks after Gracie. He is her son.

We are done for the season!
We would like to thank everyone who came out to see us. We hope to see you this next year.
We are planning some new fun things for Spring. Making some updates to the Funny Farm area, planning some weekday Summer events, more open to the public days and much more.
It is going to be a fun new season!

Rain Rain Go Away!

Help us wish the rain away for a few hours this afternoon for Harmony's 3rd birthday party.

We have tents and umbrellas up all over and are ready to celebrate with her rain or shine... but we would prefer SHINE!!

We had a perfect day for today's party. Western theme with games. We played The Cowgirl Showdown relay race. The girls had to dress like a Cowgirl, lasso a bull, water the animals, scoop the p**p, ride stick horse over hurdles, collect apples, feed the pig and then round up all the horses. Didn't take many photos...but it was fun!

A huge thank you to everyone who came out yesterday to our first Open to the Public Day! It was a very busy day and we loved seeing all the children having fun!!
The animals were p**ped out!! Cooper, the piggy, went straight to his bed and stayed there! He did head outside this morning to clean up all the feed left behind.
When I went down to the barn last night, the goats ran and hid from me. They were done and worried I was coming to get them again. Hahaha so dramatic!
Piper, the pony, got to the barn and tried to eat the other animals dinner. I do not know how she could fit any more in her tummy!

KEEP YOUR EYES OPEN FOR OUR FALL FEST DATE COMING IN EARLY OCTOBER !

I also want to send out a huge thank you to my husband (even with his back out he helped make this all happen), to my family who came down from Wisconsin for the weekend to help and to my family and friends here who helped volunteer for the event. Everyone worked so hard. It could not have happened without all of you.

Cooper our Mini Pig.
He is a Julianna, part of the potbelly family.

He is 6 years old and has been with us since he was a year old.

He lives in the house but loves to wonder around outside.

He gets into a lot of mischief! He opens the fridge and tries to help himself. He is very well potty trained, he knows how to knock on the door to go out and to come in. He does tricks and plays musical instruments.

His favorite snack is cheerios.

Pigs are an amazing animal!

We were very broken hearted about having to cancel today's event. The 9+ inches of rain over the past 3 days really messed everything up. Our animal pens are still covered with water this evening.

We are in the process of rescheduling. The new date will be posted soon.

The last minute parade invite for the Divernon Block Party was a good alternative. It was nice to meet all of you who were there.

We would like to apologize to those who did not see the cancelation post in time. We appreciate your understanding and kind words.

I would like to introduce Minnie.
She LOVES to be held and snuggled. Her and her twin brother, Mosley, love to jump around and headbutt each other on their dirt mound. She is so tiny she fits through the fence and goes on little adventures in the field. Come meet her on July 9th, Open to the Public Day. You can even have your picture taken with her by Wiggly Bee Photography.
