This wonderful man of mine celebrated his 40th birthday last week.
Channing has spent the last week working in the hayfields in the incredible heat getting up hay for all these goats at our house that he didn’t ask for. Lol. And with my work schedule and all of the kids activities, I am not sure that we have spent more than 30 minutes together at any point in the last seven days. Which is terribly unfortunate because I do try to cash in on him being “so old” for that 8 days until I am once more older. 😆 I’ve missed out!
Of course, Brynn knew his birthday was coming, requested an extra piece of paper from art class the week before so she could make him a card and made the SWEETEST card. She drew some of his favorite animals, wrote a message telling him he is her best friend, and saying she hoped he had the best birthday. 🎁 I hid my card in his gun safe where he stores his work gun not realizing he took the week off to do hay and had to tell him where it was. 😂
Happiest of birthdays to the man I am blessed to call mine. While we didn’t find each other until our thirties I am excited we started our forties together and am excited to spend this decade (and many more!) with him. He is the hardest worker you will ever find, loyal to a fault, the funniest guy I know, humble and loving and kind, and my best friend (I hope Brynn knows we gotta share! 😉). I couldn’t buy him a big enough gift, make him a fancy enough card, or write an illustrious enough IG post to really show him how happy I am to spend another birthday with him.
Now that the hay loft is full, maybe we can take a night off and go celebrate! 🎉 He is the bestest and we truly would be lost without him.
I hope you will help me tell him Cheers to Forty Years!
