Huge shoutout to Bauman Family Farms here is Southern IL. We’ve started buying our meat from them and everything tastes wonderful. It’s such a great feeling to know where your food comes from. Between our produce and buying local meat we seldom need to go to the store.

The blueberries, collards, peppers, okra, zucchini, potatoes, and tomatoes are all looking great at the farm. Can’t wait to put them on our plates and share with our neighbors. We are loving it here.

Blooms & Berries: The rain has stopped, the birds are singing, frogs are croaking, and the sun is setting. Love our evening walks around the farm.

We’ve been super busy lately on the farm. All of our eggs are pre-sold and we incubated/hatched baby chicks for a friend wanting chickens for her homestead. We’ve also planted tons of veggies in all of the existing garden beds, the berries are doing their thing, and everything is in bloom. With all of that, it’s truly in the small details that makes us happiest…the birdsong, lightning bugs, sunsets.
