Spent last few weekends getting ready for the tin to come in for the exterior walls. Tin will be installed this coming week. should look like the barn when done. The doors and windows are put back in with house wrap, seal tap and caulking done this time. Doors took longer then I'd hoped but they close and fit like they should now. The back door I finally bought from Lowes (photo) in the back of new Chevy Equinox. Waited 4 weeks for this door to come down in price. Walked in four weeks ago, it was contractor return door on clearance. Orginal price $868 with 25% mark down sticker. I had one the people there scan it and it was at 50% mark down ($434). Finally dropped to $215 and bought it. Was driving the car that day and it fits..... all most. If you're not in hurry can get great buys at Lowes and Home Depot. Most of the time no one updates the clearance stickers, so asked to have one of the associates (when you find one) scan it see where it is on the mark down cadence. It's a game of chance because someone might buy it before it drops but when sticker price of $686 clearance and the doors in this area sale for $300+ it going to be a safe bet it will not sale. The door is nice has the built in blind and doggy door in a steel door.
Rest of this month will be focus on the waste piping and venting on the wet wall. Going to have to cut some concrete for the shower drains. Not looking forward to that but plumbing is next. From there I'll ditch a new water line from the meter to the house and start those runs in the attic. Been hot so early morning only rest of the day working on interior master bed room and bathroom.
Termite damage on the exterior has been fixed or repaired. Have one interior double seal plate they ate up, but will fix that on hot days can't work in the attic for very long.
Remodel is coming along and with Miss Brooke help I am on task and focused on our time line to be completed enough to move in.
And YES, I know I need to add more concrete, the pad out front was for a single door and now it is a double so I will be adding in more concrete so it matches the new entry doors.
