I know its been way too long, but this year I have a few things on my mind I want to build before its too late. Ive been feeling my age lately and its been kicking my ass. I not liking it. Hopefully I can work on a few projects, have some fun, smile a little more, take care of myself a little better and over all just feel happier and better about things.

Have a great one mang.🤘🏼

Finally, it is alive and fully remote capable.
Ended up having to build a servo out of an window motor out of a Ford van for steering. Built some custom spindles and a couple of wheelchair motors with gear boxes for a drive train.

This also can double as a remote controlled lawnmower. I have an old 22" push mower that can bolt up in the middle of it.
Even with the weight of the 2 huge 12v55Ahr AGM batteries ran in series for 24v motors it still has way more power than I expected.

I also did this by using 3 motor controllers, 3 servos, a BEC and a Spectrum 6 channel Rx. Thats it!! No Arduino, no programming well just a little bit on my Dx6i transmitter.

I can now finally take it outside for a quick test drive. The I can finish up the front end, finish welding up the spindles, make something to put the controllers into with a fan to keep them cool.
Then im gonna give her the old stress test this spring/summer and use it around the yard and garden as a mower, a mobile wheel barrel and probably drive myself around on it.

Well it's back to the Leveler/driveway grader, it will be needed if spring ever comes.

She got a few upgrades this year.
Wireless controls, revamped the left .
Mechanism. We'll i guess I kinda cheated with the jack but oh well it works so flipping good!! LOL

The controls are 12 volt but the drill was 20 volt. So the M12 battery is for the controls only and the M18 is for the motor only. I still have some fine tuning and some cosmetics to wrap up but other than that it ready to roll.

It has independent adjustable stoppers for the height on each side, plus rhe blades can move roughly 30° from perpendicular in either direction.

I am just happy it's finally working the way I wanted. It's been a fight to get something that would work as it is very heavy once it's hooked up to the ATV.

I'm beginning to become addicted to this stuff. LOL. while it makes the shop stink and yes I have shocked myself a few times, it never gets old to watch this happen.

These were not burned together, but rather on 3 separate consecutive nights. They just so happened to Match up rather nicely.

Edit: not to worrybaboutbthe shocks, I am an industrial electrician of 20+ Years who has taken his fair share of HV hits.

Probably one of my favorites so far. 16.5"x7.5" 3/8" thick Red Oak. Stained it first.

Gettin it dialed in, lots of variables, but I've gotten the best results with veneered plywood and Popular. It burns deep into the Popular but will also crawl across the top if you make sure to reapply the solution as you go.
Think I need to make some better probes too. Getting lots of arching which browns the surface and just makes a big black spot.

As you can tell I'm just playing around now trying to dial it in then I need something to build and then add the Lichtenberg Fractal burns.

Here are some of the after pictures. All Cleaned up.

I Finally dug out the NST and fired it up. 12k volts works but of course I want more power. So if yall come across a 15k or better let me know!!

Making these Lichtenberg Fractal
Wood Burns is actually very cool. Both the sounds and sights are awesome. But it does stink up the place, LOL

Now I need to incorporate this into a light. 🤔

She lives again, and should be ready for hope another 40+ years of operation.

I went through cleaned the saw and motor up, gave the saw a quick paint job for some added protection as it is cast Aluminum. I finally found out the saw was manufactured by ShopMaster. They were out of Minneapolis I believe and made these in the 50's-60's. I can only find pictures of 3 others that have been restored online. Unfortunately I am missing the dust collection cover.

Now the motor Is a Flippin beast! 80% of the weight of this thing is all motor!! It's a Craftsman 1/2 HP 120v Cap start motor that they put on everything back in the 60's.

I have no idea where the stand is from but It is jot original to the saw. I added a little motor starter with auto E-stop and a belt tensioner. I plan on using this saw for as long as It will cut. I still need a new blade and some different feet but other than that it ready to slice and dice.

I forgot to mention that this was my grandfather's old saw. He passed in 99, and I just picked it up from my Aunt and uncle.
