Ada Brown was actually our first ever vendor when we opened the Farm Store! She has been making & selling soap since she was 13 years old! Ada loves to bake & is the oldest of 9 children. She dreams of growing up & working on a horse ranch one day.
I personally use so many of her products. I keep her soap by every sink, we use her goat milk lotion & I have one of her candles in every room in my house! Ada is a young entrepreneur & has the kindest spirit! We are so proud to support her business through the Farm Store! Next up on must haves you can buy from the Farm Store is tallow based skin care from ✨Rock Creek Farms✨.
Meghan started making tallow balm in early 2024, for her daughters, who were beginning to experience breakouts from store-bought skincare. A friend in Texas suggested tallow, and she happened to have suet from one her own cows in the freezer. After using it, their skin cleared up almost overnight.

She shared her experience in a Facebook post, and the local response was overwhelming. What started in her kitchen organically grew into a small business quickly. Today, Meghan’s mom helps, her girls pitch in, and together they make and ship tallow skincare products NATIONWIDE!! Rock Creek Farms is proud to be an all-female-owned and operated family business! I personally used her tallow balms daily! I have my own story about how quickly her balm healed my son’s face after he scrapped his chin on concrete, truly overnight healing! Meghan loves the Lord & is raising some beautiful, capable girls and we’re so thankful for her friendship!

This Saturday is Market Day at the Farm Store! We’ll be open from 9-2 with all of your favorite local vendors! We do want to make sure y’all understand that us & surrounding farms are in the deep heat of August & that means production is low for all of us. We are out of certain pork cuts & took our first batch of pigs to harvest this week. We’re running low on ground beef but we’ll restock soon. Our raw milk along with Morell milk is running low because of the heat & the strain it puts on dairy cows. Current Farms had nothing to bring this month due to the heat & getting ready for fall plants. We did reach out to Big Daddy Farms to have some stock of vegetables for y’all.

This is the point where you try new cuts & recipes! As much as we hate to be out of cuts all I can think is how blessed we are as a small, local farm to run low on stock! I see other farms all over the nation post of having fridges full of milk or meat that they can’t sell because no one comes to them. We can’t keep it in stock because of the beautiful community we have in y’all!🫶🏼🥹 All our vendors will be stocked up & Mejia’s Mexican Food Truck will be there selling the BEST Mexican food. Bring your chair & a blanket & have a picnic! We can’t wait to see y’all!

These pigs first time to ever be in a trailer & they’ve never touched concrete. They were born in the woods here on the farm. They were raised by their mamas, moved to pasture & spent everyday in the sunshine on grass. Thankful for these animals that will feed us & our community💛

Next up on must haves from the Farm Store is ANYTHING from ✨Taylormade Bread Co✨ but my personal favorite is her bagels! Taylor is as local as they get, living just down the road from us. Sourdough was her “covid project” & she fell in love with mastering the process, especially after doing research on its health benefits! When Taylor had her daughter she decided she wanted to be home & present with her full time so she dove into selling and expanding her menu! Taylor’s sourdough has taken off & she sells all over the place! She takes personal orders throughout the month also so follow her for more info! Next up on things I love that I buy at the Farm Store is ✨Ouachita Botanicals✨
Brandi is our local herbalist! Brandi started studying plants in her 20’s while traveling the country. She attended herb school in the Sierra Nevada mountains in California. Studying herbal medicine has taken her all over the world! 🌊She also sells a hydrogen water machine so talk to her about that if you’re interested!🌊 Brandi is a mother & also a ballet teacher! I personally keep my cabinets stocked with so many of her products. I SWEAR by her stomach tincture! I use her Magnesium Spray every night on my feet before bed, Smiling Eyes Roller, Anxiety & Stress Tinctures, Fire Cider,Bug Spray, Baby Balm etc. Basically anything she makes, I use! I love knowing exactly who is making the products I use daily on family! We’re so thankful to know Brandi & her sweet daughter & have them be a part of our Farm Store family. Next up is absolutely anything that comes from ✨Mercy Way Homestead✨I personally stock my freezer every month with sandwich loaves to last until the next Market Day!
Ashli Brown is the face behind all the delicious things like sourdough, goat milk caramels, chocolate chip cookies & so much more! Ashli is the mother of 9 children & she homeschools all of them! She is living her dream of homesteading & having a large family💛 She has been milking dairy goats for 11 years & she makes her caramels with her own goats milk! She has always loved baking since she was a little girl & two years ago she decided to start selling her goods for a little extra income. Ashli has the sweetest soul & has raised the most capable, respectful children. We love her family & we’re so thankful to have her be apart of Market Day every month!

Kelly Taylor & her husband Lendel set up on the front porch slinging fried pies every Market Day. She usually sells out in the FIRST HOUR of business! People can’t get enough of them🤤 Kelly & her family have gone on a family vacation to Colorado almost every single year in the 37 years they’ve been married. They love to hike & adventure. Lendel plays blue grass along with all 4 of their children. They have the sweetest family ever & love to spend time with their children & grandchildren. Kelly decided to start making fried pies in the fall of 2021 after tasting a coconut fried pie at a festival in Springfield, Missouri.

Starting a series today of my must haves that I purchase from the Farm Store every month! Starting off with my absolute, can’t live without product. Fuel Line Coffee! The kids & I start every morning gathered in the kitchen sipping on this coffee while we read our bibles. Mac & Mackenzie are the makers of this product & they’re the sweetest couple! Mac is a coffee aficionado & works for a remodeling company and Mackenzie is a firefighter in Ruston! Mackenzie knitted the cutest hats for a few of my kids, plus she made her own sweater 🤯 They recently celebrated their marriage by taking a trip to Northern Ireland, the wedding photos are ✨gorgeous✨. Here’s a glimpse of the reality of owning a business. The past two months we’ve had to rebuild our Polaris’ engine, replace the compressor in the large fridge at the store, replace the compressor & freon for our freezer trailer, the yoke on the bush hog broke & as of Saturday evening our large walk-in freezer isn’t cooling down & we have a technician coming out to see about it today. I’ll leave the financial cost of all this up to your imagination but to say we’re feeling pretty beat down would be accurate.
Animals don’t quit eating just because moneys tight, bills don’t take a break from coming in & the kids have to be fed. Everything that has broken down is an essential component of the farm. It’s not something we can just put off for later.
We aren’t asking for handouts but if you can please share our post, tell your friends about Market Day coming up on August 29th or make an appointment to come out & shop with us during the week! We have half/whole cows & pigs available too! Comment for details if you’re interested. More than anything we would love if you’d just pray for us! Taylor works full time on the farm while I raise our babies & homeschool. We’re so thankful for the awesome community & friendships this farm has built & the way of life it provides for us. We aren’t rich in money but rich in what matters to us. Rich in our hope in Christ, rich in quality time with the 5 children the Lord has gifted us, rich in health, rich in friendships and rich in our marriage💛 Thankful for all of you!
