This week's was not only an ode to the wonderful Japanese snack, onigiri, but also an appreciation for our friends . Every Saturday , we look for their cute Onigiri Truck. Their food is delicious!
My right- hand man wanted to try our hand at creating some. We had fun! Like us, some of our farmer's market loves tried something new.
Our friends provided some guidance and tools to help us execute these bad boys for our Pittsboro markets.
Onigiri Our Way: Our ode to the classic Japanese grab-and-go sandwich 3 ways. Classic tuna mayo, spicy salmon, and soy glazed , local mushrooms, with sticky rice, wrapped in seaweed. Served with our housemade kimchi, togarashi aioli, and pickled daikon radish. It's the perfect summer snack.
