📣 Weekend Service Update

Hello friends!

We wanted to let everyone know that this weekend we will be operating Saturday and Sunday through our walk-up

Our team will be busy inside preparing for several catering events and large orders. The good news is that you’ll still be able to grab your favorite donuts, drinks, and treats from the window!

Wow… where do we even begin?

First, we want to sincerely apologize for the long wait times tonight. We were absolutely blown away by the turnout and did our best to get every bowl out as quickly as possible while maintaining the quality and care we put into every dish.

Thank you to everyone who came out, waited patiently in line, shared tables, and showed us so much support. This was by far one of our busiest So Yen PM pop-ups, and seeing the line stretch out the door left us speechless.

We are incredibly grateful to announce that we SOLD OUT! While we’re sorry we couldn’t serve everyone, we truly appreciate your understanding and support as we continue to learn and grow with each event.

Our hope was to bring a little taste of Thailand to Minnesota, and we hope those who were able to enjoy a bowl experienced just that. A huge thank you to Chef Renu for sharing her passion and flavors with our community, and to all of you for making this evening so special.

From the bottom of our hearts, thank you. We can’t wait to do it again.

Pop-Up is TONIGHT! 🍜✨

A friendly reminder that we have a limited number of bowls available from 5:00 PM–8:00 PM, so come early if there’s something you’ve been wanting to try!

We’re excited to introduce our Beef Boat Noodles, bringing a little taste of Bangkok to Minnesota. Chef Renu absolutely nailed this dish, it instantly brought me back to the streets of Thailand. Rich, aromatic broth, tender beef, and layers of flavor in every bite.

Every dish is packed with bold, comforting flavors that we’re excited to share with you.
We have limited patio seating available on a first-come, first-served basis. If you’re dining with us, we kindly ask that you be mindful of your time so others can also enjoy a seat and a warm bowl of noodles.

Additional indoor common-space seating with standing tables is available through the front entrance on 4th Street.

🥭 Who’s ready for June’s lineup starting tomorrow?

Introducing our June specialty flavor: Mango Sticky Rice inspired by one of Thailand’s most beloved desserts.

A lightly whipped coconut mango cream cheese filling nestled inside our pillowy brioche donut, topped with coconut sticky rice, fresh mango, and a drizzle of sweet-and-salty coconut cream, then finished with a sprinkle of black sesame seeds.

Every bite brings together creamy coconut, juicy mango, and chewy sticky rice for a little taste of Thailand right here at So Yen Desserts.

Join us for our next Pop-Up on June 10th from 5–8 PM!

We’ll have window service, patio seating, and common space inside available for anyone who would like to dine in.

With June being my birthday month, it felt only right to bring a menu inspired by some of the places and flavors I love most. Thai food has always been one of my favorites, and after my last trip to Thailand, I wanted to bring a little piece of that memory back home since I can’t be there right now, I’m excited to share that I’ve been working on this menu with a few close friends. Our friend Chef Renu, who is from Thailand and had learned to cook from there will be leading this pop-up and introducing our Beef Boat Noodles, Pork Pad Kra Pao, and Beef Curry.
One dish Bangkok is especially known for is Boat Noodles. The broth is traditionally enriched with a touch of beef blood, giving it an incredibly silky texture and depth of flavor that makes every spoonful unforgettable. Finished with fresh herbs, crunchy bean sprouts, and a touch of heat and acidity to balance the richness, this bowl is bold, comforting, and packed with flavor. If you’ve never experienced authentic Thai boat noodles before, this is your chance to taste one of Thailand’s most beloved dishes right here at So Yen PM. Every dish is rich in flavor, made with love, and inspired by memories we can’t wait to share with you.

Happy June!! It’s also Yen’s birthday today, so we’re excited to introduce our June flavors!

We’re bringing one of Yen’s absolute favorite Thai Desserts: Mango Sticky Rice, inspired by the dessert she ate almost every day while in Thailand this past January. And of course, we’re celebrating Pride Month by bringing back our fun and colorful Fruity Pebbles donut!

What’s on for dessert tomorrow?

Strawberry Coconut Tiramisu has entered the chat 🍓🥥

But of course… we had to give it a So Yen twist. Instead of traditional lady fingers, we layer our tiramisu with buttery house brioche bread, lightly toasted so it soaks up all that creamy goodness while still staying soft, fluffy, and rich in every bite.

Layered with coconut mascarpone cream, fresh strawberries, and topped with a glossy strawberry finish, this dessert tastes like summer in dessert form. Light, creamy, fruity, and just the right amount of indulgent.
