Well that last storm happened on hatch night so our first hatch was a disaster thanks to humidity jumping all over the place but we ended up with a few fighters now able to head to new brooders.

I have not forgotten about anyone who has requested certain breeds I just only ended up with a couple and not enough to fill orders!

Turkeys!

Blue Slate, Bourbon Red, Chocolate Toms over 3 bourbon Red Hens and 1 Chocolate Hen. I think my Bourbon Red Tom is the dominant one but I can’t be sure so they will all be labeled “mixed breeds”.

Look at those speckles on the eggs though! Who doesn’t need a couple of those in their own baskets?😍

Lots of goose eggs and 2 duck eggs in the incubator. Our first 2 batches had 5 eggs each and of those 4 from each group are showing promising growth. Can’t wait to see the first few in 20 days😍

P.s. before it gets asked, they will be switched to a different incubator for hatching but keeping them all together during incubation makes it easier to hand turn them all!

Geese! African Greys, White Chinese, and Brown Chinese in a mixed flock. I absolutely love these guys!

If you need a new security system then adding some goslings might be just what you need! My breeders are not aggressive but they will alert you to anything that is new, shouldn’t be there, or looks at them funny!

This will be my first time hatching geese but I’ve got 4 eggs going in the incubator tonight🫣

Speckled Sussex!

If you like them both pretty and functional then this might be the breed for you! Not only are they great layers but they are very hefty birds that could be used for good eating. If you like independent birds that do it all themselves, leave them with eggs too long and you’ll have babies before you know it cause these girls go broody like crazy!🤪

How gorgeous are these🤩

The lightest blue one is actually from my bantam Easter Egger but the other 3 are all from my f1 Olive Eggers that I bred and hatched out last year. The front egg in the photo with all 4 is almost more grey instead color than green.

I think the speckles has to be my favorite though! Let me know which one you think is prettier!

I will get back to posting our breeding pens shortly! We had to take a pause on building for the birds to build our barn...

Buff Silkies😍

Buff is probably my favorite color that chickens can come in. Combine that with all that gorgeous fluff? Satin and regular in this pen so feathering is a gamble on the babies but they are sure to be gorgeous either way!
