🌞 Fat Cats BBQ Fun Fact! 🌞
Ever notice an old bottle of seasoning looking like it just survived a 3-month vacation in Florida?
Direct sunlight and UV lighting (including some lights used in grocery stores) can pull color from spices and seasonings. Ingredients like paprika, chili powder, and other colorful spices are especially prone to fading when exposed to light for long periods.
While faded color doesn't always mean the seasoning has gone bad, it can be a sign that the spices are losing some of their freshness and potency.
Here are a few Quick tips to help prevent that!
✅ Store your seasonings in a cool, dry place. ✅ Keep them away from direct sunlight...and keep bottles inside a cabinet as much as possible.
REMEMBER. If your seasoning is darker than your brisket, smoke the brisket more. If your brisket is darker than your seasoning, hide the seasoning from the sun.😂🔥
