After two months of silence, I believe an update is long overdue. Since the news about licensing, I have been working diligently to decide how we plan to move forward now that I am done licking my metaphorical wounds. As of this moment, we have decided to focus my efforts on education, both for myself and others.
I have taken the time I was dedicating to keeping up on laws and trying to create plans for a farm and have began using it to expand my abilities. Those who follow along in my grow group know that I have began working not only with hydroponics but also using auto flowering seeds. I have also started creating clones to give to people who maybe not be so lucky when it comes to germinating seeds.
Basically anything I have never done or do not know how to do, have become goals so that I have more to offer new growers looking for advice. This is how I follow the Green Giant motto to Keep Growing Strong.
So what does this little catchphrase mean to me? It has only a little to do with actual growing itself. No, instead it is much broader than that. Sure we want to grow the very best plants we can, but we also want to build a stronger community. Help people build a stronger sense of self, whether it is by teaching them growing as a diversionary tactic to help battle addiction. To help people create a better quality of life for themselves. Even donating items to get them up and running.
This does not stop with people. We want to build a stronger ecosystem. To show our thanks to the planet that has supported us for the entire history of mankind and beyond by using as little as possible, reusing anything we can, and directing funds into protecting what we resources we have left. I know that last one is a dream for when we have the ability to do so, but the rest are practices used by the Green Giant and anyone we teach already, because we only get one Earth.
I hope this sheds a little light on why these three words mean so much to us and why I end every post with it in the Green Giant Growers group. Because if we grow together, physically, mentally, and emotionally, we strengthen our voice and our ability to make positive changes that could make people’s lives better.
Thank you to all the friends and family that have supported this dream since day one, and everyone that has joined us since. We will continue to work towards our goal of being able to provide quality products and services to the everyone. Until then we will do whatever we can to KEEP GROWING STRONG!💚💚💚
