Like you, we have been watching the weather forecasts closely and hoping this incoming winter system would do us all a favor and steer clear of Downtown Durham on Saturday. Unfortunately, that does not appear to be the case. After a great deal of discussion, we have made the difficult decision to postpone the Rare & Vintage Beer Tasting. We are tentatively rescheduling for a Saturday 4-6 weeks from now. We will confirm the new date as quickly as possible.

While Saturday is impacted, we want to honor the work of all the brewers, wholesalers, and retailers who have moved all the beer around for the events scheduled for Thursday and Friday ahead of the storm. If you are in Durham, we welcome you to join us at any of the Rare Weekend events around town. The full listings of retail events (such as those in slide 2) will continue to be updated as plans evolve, and can be found at the Events link in our bio.

We remain fully committed to hosting Rare & Vintage in 2026 rather than canceling outright. We will use this extra time to add value for our ticket-holding community. You deserve a great experience, and that is exactly what we intend to deliver.

Thank you for your patience and understanding. We truly appreciate it and look forward to welcoming you under better conditions very soon.

Over 40 pallets of beer were shipped to North Carolina in the last few weeks, just so we could have the select beers for the tasting. Literally more than 125 TONS of beer!

Well it can’t ALL go to the tasting . . .

This weekend ALL the great beers descend on Durham, and not just for the tasting - we coordinate multiple events throughout the weekend!!
