It's National Pollinators Week! Did you know that these little creatures help pollinate over 75% of flowers and crops?🌱🌻

Ben Crawford, Iowa pork producer as well as environmental services director for Prestage Farms of Iowa is caring for more than pigs on his farm. He has also been tending a monarch butterfly 🦋habitat in collaboration with Iowa State University and the Iowa Monarch Conservation Consortium. All Prestage Foods of Iowa Employees:

You play an important role in producing wholesome food that feeds the nation and maintaining a healthy work environment for our employees and their families is top of mind at Prestage Foods of Iowa. Thank you for being here and partnering with us to keep our workplace healthy by following the (CDC) guidelines that have been distributed in common areas.

Many employees are asking questions about production schedules and attendance. At this time, we are planning for normal production schedules and will be monitoring points. Because we understand that this situation is very fluid and ever changing, we will continue to communicate with you and adjust our attendance and medical policies to support you and our business as partners in the nations essential food supply chain.

As part of our normal daily sanitation process at the end of first shift, sanitarians complete a sanitization procedure which consists of a chlorine spray foam down of the walls, floor surfaces and production surfaces of the plant. The ventilation systems are sanitized similarly daily. In addition, our housekeeping and cafeteria service have been increasing the cleaning of surfaces in high touch areas such as door handles, table tops, and restrooms. We have limited visitors on site and require all visitors, including new hires to complete a COVID19 Questionnaire following CDC guidelines. We ask that you follow the visitor policy in the handbook.
