30/30 eggs were fertile, though one did turn out to be a failure to thrive, so 29 more Jubilee chicks are on their way!

We currently have 1 dozen Jubilee hatching eggs available. Message for more info.

And last, but not least, one of our Muscovies has decided to sit on a clutch of eggs, so we may have Muscovy ducklings in a month as well!

Ready...set...HERE WE GO!
The time is finally here: We are about to test run our first clutch of Jubilee Orpingtons! Out of the 20 birds we raised, these are the 6 that made the cut.
This has been a very long project in the making, sourcing well bred birds from reputable breeders around the state to create our own line, and letting the girls have a couple of laying cycles and turn a year old before choosing to hatch.
All have Wheaten-based genes and were hand selected as chicks to breed out partridge marking/striping.
I can't wait to keep everyone updated and am so excited that we are finally beginning our Jubilee breeding program!
Hatching schedules will depend on fertility and hatch rates 🐓

We hope everyone had a wonderful Thanksgiving!
We have so much to be grateful for, including the health and happiness of our animals, the eggs they provide for us, and of course everyone who has supported our small business this past year. We couldn't do it without you!

An update on GreenBean: he is getting so big! With how chunky and vocal he is, I'm still saying male! He is such a wonderful house duck, and is developing relationships with everyone in the house. I was shocked to see him watching the outside world with our dane, Montana, as he tends to push his luck and bully her every chance he gets 😅

Sometimes things dont go as planned and you gotta ✨pivot️✨️.

Our test batch of muscovy yielded only one duckling developing and hatching, but it also hatched early and with a slight prolapse. I was able to get the prolapse to recede and stay in, but flock animals do not do well being solitary, so looks like I have a tag along for a while!

Its apparent our birds need a bit more time to mature, so muscovy breeding will be held off until next year, giving our birds the time they need and to make sure we have the healthiest babies possible!
