Big news from Sergeant Shortbread!

After a great run, I've passed the Sergeant Shortbread torch to a new owner, Merae Meek.

The big question: will the cookies still taste the same? Yes! I'll be working alongside Merae for the foreseeable future to make sure every batch is exactly the shortbread you've come to love.

While Merae isn't a veteran herself, she's the proud mom of a former Marine and a staunch advocate for our military and veteran community.

The support you've shown me over the years as a veteran-turned-baker has meant the world. Please give her that same support.

This isn't goodbye from me, just a new chapter. I'm now the Executive Director of the National Cottage Food Alliance (NCFA), a nonprofit trade association right here in Eden Prairie, supporting the home bakers and small food makers who turn kitchen recipes into real businesses.
