The DMV fig festival on 9/12 was awesome this year. If you’re local to Maryland we have 3 fig related festivals throughout the year 1 in May, 1 in September, and 1 mini festival in December. These events are great opportunities to learn, trade, buy, and get generous gifts. I usually donate a few trees every year myself to support new growers. I was mainly volunteering this year if you missed me but next year I plan to sell and trade a lot more of trees than yesterday. I’ll also be at the Fig and PawPaw Festival in October 3rd. Please see the below image to get free tickets to that event.

I didn’t know that the University of Maryland at College Park would have so many figs and the horticulturist would also start collecting. He had so many figs available. My luck continues as I keep getting more fig trees through raffles and friends . I can’t wait to collaborate and bring this fruit of a hundred flavors into mainstream. I added some to my collection.

Lyndhurst white fig was quite delicious even after the rain. Harvested 8/2/26 zone 7B Maryland. My tree is potted and I started this one last year from a cutting. It’s my first crop from this variety and it’s a keeper for me.

I did a video tour of most of my fig collection today. I’m in zone 7a now 7B in Maryland and online I’m also known as Tiger Garden .

I wasn’t able to put my entire collection in the video but once I get fruit later in the year I will mention the variety and show the fruit. I also showed how my unknown fig thrived despite the rough winter and attack from ambrosia beetles that can destroy a tree. — in Harford County, Maryland.
