Grass fed beef not only has a different flavor profile than conventional corn fed beef, it also cooks differently. In general, grass fed beef cooks about 30% faster than conventional beef because it is leaner and richer in healthy fats. These melt quicker at a lower temperature than the unhealthy fats in conventional beef.
With the big game coming up here are some Grass fed steak preparation tips:
• Thaw your frozen steak in the refrigerator.
• Never use a microwave to thaw meat.
• Let steaks reach room temperature before cooking.
• Rub both sides with coarse grain Kosher Salt.
• Grill or fry to touch.
