Round roast? Heck yes! Salt brine. Black pepper garlic powder. Sear it in an iron skillet then 20 minutes at 250 in the oven. As good as anything!

Had a pretty easy day today. Needed the rest. Did move cows to some crab grass, worked on the other house a bit and ended the day on the back porch. Pretty nice evening.

We utilize electric fencing for our rotation al grazing, when it is working, it is great! When it is not, well… many many trips back and fourth looking for the short. Hot humid weather ticks, chiggers, and snakes. For one little bitty spot. I saw a meme today be grateful for the work you are doing today that you prayed for in the past. It is not always easy to remember, main job gets busy family demands, not as much time doing recreational activities. I still think nothing is better than good cattle on good grass, it is something that has always been inside of me, something that is hard to explain. Livestock is at the core of who I am. There are days it is not fun. But there are never days I do not love it.
