I’ve had some large hatches over the last couple of weeks and have been pulling DNA samples from babies for the last three consecutive days. The samples will be mailed out tomorrow.
If you’ve been wanting to get some beautiful Silkie birds from me, now is the time to be watching my page! I will be posting available chicks throughout the next couple of weeks, and it will be first come, first served.
IF I am blessed with enough pullet chicks, I would really love to give back to you all and do a pullet chick giveaway. If that happens, I will be posting additional information in a separate post and pinning it to my page. So keep an eye out and cross your fingers because I’d love to do it! 🤞🏼
Think of this as a little last hurrah for now because I am tearing down my breeding pens and separating my hens and roosters this week. I’ve also stopped adding eggs to my incubators. The girls (and me 😂) could use a break, and I need to start getting birds conditioned for my first show season this fall.
Colors that will likely be available are black, white, blue, splash, partridge, and maybe gray (very limited).

Something to keep in mind:
I am NOT a hatchery; I am one person. So a lot of chicks for me is not going to be the same as a lot of chicks for a big commercial business! So please don’t treat me like we are the same and don’t expect our prices to compare.
It costs me $5 per chick just to get these babies DNA tested, and these birds are of completely different quality and value than something you’d find at a feed store.
I hatch chicks to grow and improve my own personal breeding program and select a handful of chicks from each hatch that are showing traits I believe will improve my lines and align with the SOP (Standard of Perfection). This is not some type of money grab as I’ve invested a lot of time, effort, and money into these birds, so my pricing will reflect that.
