A machine can trim a pound in minutes. A person takes considerably longer.

We trim by hand. Not because it's faster — it isn't — but because a machine doesn't know the difference between a trichome-covered calyx and a leaf that needs to go. A person does.

Hand trimming is slower, more expensive, and produces a better result. That trade-off is an easy one for us.

What they need is the right spectrum, the right intensity, and the right duration — consistently, every single day. That's what our single-tier LED system is built around. Illinois requires independent, third-party testing for potency, purity, and contaminants — and we hold ourselves to that standard without exception. Heavy metals, pesticides, microbials. All checked. All documented.

Here's the difference nobody talks about.

A commercial facility optimizes for throughput. How much can we move, how fast, at what cost?

A licensed craft facility optimizes for the plant. What does this specific cultivar need to reach its full genetic potential?

Those two questions lead to very different outcomes.

At Echelon, we're a 5,000 sq ft operation — intentionally. Smaller footprint means more attention, tighter controls, and a level of consistency that scales don't allow.

Craft isn't a marketing word. It's a choice.
