Last night I separated willow and her babies for the first time and wow was her udder huge this morning!! She milked 80 oz and I left some for those sweet babies too! She has come a long way from the day we got her. She was thinking and wouldn't allow me to even touch her. We started the milk stand training pretty quickly after she and her other 2 herd mates arrived. She was the hardest to get to trust me and to stand train. When Dublin decided she needed to be breed I doubled down on training once we found out she was pregnant. She would jump and flip the stand, kick me, and just go crazy. Will she has calmed down quite a bit but she's still pretty spunky. We'll get there with time. Im so in love with her babies and how cute they are. Her milk production is great for a first timer.

This ends our kidding here on the farm...yep we had a late on this year. Willow want to introduce her twins (1 boy 1 girl). She delivered without any assistance I was milking and watching her at the same time. Help get bags off face and cleaned noses but she did everything else. Babies have nursed and all are doing good.

They are getting close!! Feed NO corn or soy transitional grain. Moved twice daily to fresh grass. Next butcher is July...

They are getting close!! Feed NO corn or soy transitional grain. Moved twice daily to fresh grass. Next butcher is July 11th. We have some extra let me know if you want some. $5.50/ # weights on last batch range was 4-6.5 # per bird.

We wanted to try to do an extended lactation on crystal (swans daughter). Normally we kid our girls in feb-april and dry off in the winter months since we breed in sept-dec. But this girl was producing a gallon a day and I just wanted to see how she would do if we didn't breed her back. She now at day 368 & still producing over a gallon a day!! We will probably try to breed her this fall for spring babies. Now swan milked for 3 yrs cause she didn't want to settle...this march she gave us the cutest boy, and she back to her gallon a day production. Now I really wanted a girl so we will try 1 more time before we retire her from kidding.

Meat chicken moved to bigger tractor, since they are growing so fast they out grew the smaller 1 so we split them into 3...

It crazy how much of a difference from last yr to this year. CCs gives us over a gallon of milk every morning and feeds 3 beautiful girls all day and then still gives me 32oz in the evening.

Man I love baby turkeys!! They are so cute and have such personalities!! We had 20/25 eggs go to lock down. As if right now 2 eggs left to hatch!! How amazing is that? These guys will be raised here on the farm for Thanksgiving dinners reserve your fresh never froze turkey now. Raised on fresh grass moved twice daily (no sprays or chemicals used) and feed no corn no soy transitional grains.

Baby meat chicks have arrived!! They are so small and fuzzy, but they won't stay that way for long. EtA to freezer 8-9 wks.
Raised on pasture in tractors moved twice daily to new fresh grass feed no corn or soy feed without chemicals or sprays!
