Hartman Family Showpigs is proud to bring you quality show pigs for local, state, or national shows. Mark Hartman Family Showpigs brings the best genetics around the nation to one farm.
Mark is dedicated to finding the best boars from the top breeders in the nation to breed to his award winning females. We farrow twice a year, once in Jan/Feb and again in July/Aug. Mark is available by phone during day during these business hours if you would like to call to set up something to check out the newest crop of pigs. We will try to post litters on as soon as they are born for everyone to see.
We will be going live at 3 to kick off the timed portion of the sale! Stay tuned.
The Hartman Family Showpigs Bid Board Auction is going digital!
You will be able to view the bid board by downloading the free Zoom app on your Android or iPhone, or by going to zoom.us on your PC. The stream will start at 9 am. Please contact us about getting a bidder number. You will text your bids to Mark (574-202-4707) or Brad (574-535-5115). If for some reason you are not seeing your bid get accounted for, please call one of us immediately. We ask for your patience during this process.
Timed bidding will start a 3 pm and stay open as long as there is activity. We will make it very clear as to when the board closes and give everyone a chance to make their final bids.
You will need these credentials to get into the "meeting" on Zoom.
Meeting ID# 595 604 5880
If you are having trouble logging on, please call Brad, he will walk you through it.
Please Share this post on your page so we can get the word out quickly to anyone who is interested in our pigs this year.
Any questions, please follow up with a comment below, just in case someone else is thinking the same thing, that way we get all the bugs worked out together.
We are finalizing the details of how it will all work but we are going to set up a Zoom video call. This will require you to download the app on your phone or visit the website on your PC. You'll need to get the meeting number and password from us. We will post that on here before the start of the auction on Saturday. Stay tuned for more details.
So with the travel ban we are going to be shaking it up a bit. We are thinking of a live feed to our bid board on Saturday. More details to come! Stay tuned as we work out the logistics of it.
Being in this business is all about fun for us. When you farrow a litter like this, it keeps you coming back to the barn. Imagine how much fun you will have with this guy in the end of your whip.
One of our favorite parts of raising show pigs is seeing the kids get involved. Our bid board style of selling allows the kids to be more involved, however this year will look a little different. We are asking for as many people to stay home as possible. You can make your bids on the day of the sale by arranging phone bids with Brad or Mark. If you must come, we ask you limit it to ONE person per family. If you have already viewed the pigs you probably have a good idea of what pigs you are after. This will make it easier to do you bidding over the phone. If you haven't seen them, give us a call and we can talk you through the pigs or work something out.

One of our favorites! Never Before x Cartel. This combination was awesome! Look at the spread up high and how he carries it all way down to the ground. This guy's momma is a proven dam, a grand champion herself and she keeps producing top notch offspring.
Litter One has tremendous depth! If these guys are the right size for your show, you need one of these guys in your barn! You don't want to run up against one of these guys come show day.
Can't believe what you're seeing? Come check out this guy in person, this Saturday from 10-2. It is our last open barn before sale day.
Some more looks at the deep set of Litter 5, Hotwired x Skull. Yorks won at St. Joe and Elkhart last year. Don't miss out on your opportunity to own an elite Barrow in that breed.
A good looking cross barrow with plenty of shape! Night Moves x Champion Factory. This one's momma was the Grand Gilt at Elkhart last year. Thanks to Drake Risser for getting this one in the herd!
The One Litter barrows are something special! Check out this guy. If this one doesn't get you excited, you may want to check your pulse.
Spots! These two barrows are really well balanced and posses good muscle. Thanks to Drake Risser for helping us bring a new breed to the herd.
If you are looking for a Yorkshire barrow this year, you have to check out these litter 5 pigs! Hotwired x Skull hit a HOMERUN! This litter is deep and consistent. Check this guy out!
Litter One pigs are so good! Power in the Blood x Detour. Wow! This litter has it all! Power, balance, bone, and they can move! This barrow combines it all together, but wait until you see his brothers!
Big thanks to the 12 families who came out yesterday to view the pigs. We have one more opportunity this Saturday before our sale on the 28th. No need to make an appointment, just show up between 10am - 2pm.
One note that we haven't mentioned before, we are selling gilts on a first come, first served basis. We sold two yesterday, but there are plenty of high quality gilts left.
Just under an hour left today but don't miss out next week! Same time, same place, same great pigs.
Open Barn! Starting now. Come on over for the next four hours to hang out, look at pigs and just be in good company!
This Saturday from 10 am to 2 pm will be the first open house! Come check out the pigs!
One more week until our first open barn! Getting pretty excited to show this year's crop to the public.
Hey All! It's been a minute but we wanted to update you on how this selling season is going to operate for us. We will have a sale, per usual, on March 28 at 3 pm, here at the farm. Something different is that we will offer an Open Barn on March 14 and 21. These will be from 10 am to 2 pm. These will be the only times that you can view our pigs before sale day, so please prioritize those days. Pictures will follow soon!
Thank you all for coming out today! Please feel free to call us with any questions about your projects!
Wanted to make sure we are all on the same page. The sale starts at 3 PM Eastern Time. The time on the event, for some reason, is showing Pacific time.
Sale day is less than a week! If you're gonna be on vacation stop by this week and leave your bids with Mark. Our bodies board is very phone bids friendly. Don't miss an opportunity to have a great project!
Check out the pictures just posted! But even better....come check these guys out for yourself! The barn is open. Call Mark to set up an appointment. Other wise, we will see you on sale day!
Here are just a few offerings for the sale on March 30th.
Farrowing season is over! We are super excited about this year's pigs. Stay tuned for pictures. Barn will open on March 18 by appointment only. Call Mark 574-202-4707 to set it up!
Thank you for all who came out to support us today! Good luck with your projects this year! Please call us with any questions you may have.
There are still a few barrows left for your 4H project this year so call Mark if you have a need. 574-202-4707
