May 4 is Annabel’s Gotcha Day! Four years of companionship! She’s quite different from her early days with me. It took some time to get her trust, and I had moments when I thought things wouldn’t work out, but here we are. Sweater muse and funny companion. She’s wearing a sweater designed and knit by me, in Brooklyn Tweed Tones (sadly discontinued) in 1999 stripes that matches a sweater in my wardrobe.

Some weekend personal knitting. This is a kit for Awilda by , purchased from , as a birthday gift. Oh my goodness this yarn. It’s fantastic. I’m past all the color work. I went rogue with the neckband and picked up the stitches. Just randomly a tutorial for a welt showed up on my feed, so here it is. FYI, just randomly again, an excellent tutorial on welted neckbands from You Tube channel appeared in my feed after I had bound off this neckband. I think there will be more welts in my future.

Getting to work on a pattern rewrite. I started working on this book in 2006. I have progressed as a knitter and hopefully, a writer. Spotted at in Dachund Daddy Knits booth display. Appears to be the Piccolo sweater that was published in my now out of print book, Doggie Knits. The sweater has a lovely story attached. A customer knit the sweater for her dog, and gifted it to Andrew, the business owner, after the dog’s passing 😢💔. I love this story. Dog sweaters have history, and a Dachund’s memory lives on in this sweater.
