What a weird, weird winter we are having.

Chick update:
They’re alive and well! The white one is definitely a rooster, we named him Donny Jr after his dad. The little black one is a hen and she is Belle. Super thankful we’ve had such a mild winter!! Minnesota decided to go easy on these little guys. ❤️

Another gorgeous day! Enjoying this weather while it lasts.
The little ladies aren’t so little anymore! Bonnie and Dolly are growing into very nice looking young girls. 🥰

Farm life is full of surprises!

I went to lock the chicken coop last night and found a little surprise waiting for me. One of our Chocolate Orpingtons had been setting on a nest of eggs for a while now and 2 chicks finally made their arrival. 🥰🐣
This is the first time we’ve had a hen hatch chicks on her own, I had my doubts but am so excited to see how good of a job she did and is doing still!
