What a week I've had! A busy one but all of my favorite things. It went from getting certified to do artificial insemination on cows, making cidar, going to a dog show then going on a waterfowl / feasent hunt, and then to a poultry show! I don't think I've ever been more busy in my life but they where all amazing experiences and this was a week I'll never forget!

I have recently had some major problems with nutrena feeds! 😞
I was losing a ton of birds and trying to figure out what was happening. I figured out that it was the feed. The feed I had been getting was infested with feed mites. If you don't know what they are they are a grain mite that eats all of the nutrients out of the food. With that being said my silkies were not getting the nutrients, vitamins, and protein they needed. I had contacted tractor supply and runnings and told them about my problems, and nothing had been done so I decided to contact nutrienta telling them about the issue. I'm waiting to hear back from them. It was quite the heart ache to have so many losses especially at first not knowing what was going on. The bird in the picture is one that is currently recovering. We had to put her in a wheelchair and we have been giving her supplements! My birds are on a temporary food mix that is not nutriena. I'd love to know what everyone feeds so that I can get them on some good feed.

For the past few years I've been raising quail. This year I decided to hatch out a ton for meat. They are probably my favorite thing to see every day. They just cheer me up so much! I will be keeping a lot of them for breeding purposes and only killing the males I don't need! They are so funny! 🤣
