"When I switch to white wine, Chardonnay is my go-to. I prefer unoaked Chardonnay when it comes from New York State. Being in a cool climate growing season oak seems to overpower our delicate fruit. Russell's Reserve 10 Year
Kentucky Straight Bourbon

Russell's Reserve 10-Year-Old Bourbon is matured for over a decade in heavily charred casks under the scorching Kentucky sun, this bourbon earned a score of 95 points at the Ultimate Spirits Challenge.

The color is glowing amber, the nose is vanilla and toffee, which unfold into Maraschino cherry and marzipan as it breathes. The palate is oh, so smooth. Toffee, spice and vanilla upfront. The finish is spicy at first, then mellowing out to a pleasing and subtle sweetness.

Sipped neat, on the rocks, or used to make cocktails, this is a bourbon for your liquor cabinet.

Still GIN

Still GIN is a light and smooth take on a classic gin, with notes of tangerine, jasmine, and coriander. The result is something that has the botanical mouthfeel of a traditional gin, but with a more citrus-forward flavor profile. Floral and spice are more subtle, rather than dominating the main palate.

Bottled at 85 proof (42.5% ABV), the brand says the gin is designed for “both gin enthusiasts and newcomers alike,” with a liquid that is suitable for sipping and cocktails.

Cocktail of the Week

Pumpkin Spice Latte

Ingredients:

2 cups of whole milk
2 tbs canned pumpkin
2 tbs sugar
2 tbs vanilla extract
1/2 tsp pumpkin pie spice
1/2 cup hot brewed espresso
Optional: Whipped cream, ground nutmeg

Instructions:

1. In a small saucepan, combine the milk, pumpkin and sugar. Cook and stir over medium heat until steaming. Remove from the heat; stir in vanilla and pie spice. Transfer to a blender; cover and process for 15 seconds or until foamy. Pour into a mug and top with whipped cream and nutmeg. Enjoy!

Cocktail of the Week
Maple Old-Fashioned

Ingredients:

2 oz. Evan Williams bourbon
1/2 oz. maple syrup
2 dashes Angostura bitters
1 large ice cube
1 orange peel strip
1 maraschino cherry

Directions:

1. Add bourbon, maple syrup and Angostura bitters to a rocks glass; stir to combine. Add ice, stir until chilled. Squeeze the strip of orange peel skin side-down over the glass to release its oils and then drop into the drink. Garnish with a cherry and serve.
