Sister to the doe I posted earlier.. only a lot thicker and heftier!
She has yet to see a show table, since the poor girl has sustained 2 injuries (one of which was from her sister... she took a chunk out of her back 😨).. thankfully she's better now and there isn't even a white spot or scar!

So hopefully she can show as a 6/8 this fall!
Waiting for that hind to fill out some more, but overall-- she's nice! Currently a bit "hippy", but she's still going through the Jr uglies, so I do have to give her some leeway.
Still molting out baby coat but she has nice texture and standing quality.. just wish there was a bit more length and density🤞

I guess this is my reminder that I need to start checking weights much more religiously again! Pulled this doe out last ...

I guess this is my reminder that I need to start checking weights much more religiously again! Pulled this doe out last night... she's been shown a few times as a jr and has won a few legs... BUT! At 5mo (just turned today), this girl is only 6.5 # 😑🥴😵
OVER a MONTH behind where she should be. Her sister's and brother are all at least 2 # larger currently 😅

And then she also had the AUDACITY to give me attitude 🗣🫷

Fun fact.. this doe WAS the largest in her litter-- usually at least 3-4 oz above the other's AND
she HAD the best temperament-- always wanting pets and was an easy poser.
Oh how the switch has been flipped...

She also appears to be rather undercut and lacking in lower bum 😓

Yesterday's show at Corunna went well! Mainly brought jrs this time around, but they had a good turn out.

Kate's Homestead's KH48 (Queenie) earned 1st in class (black jr doe) in both shows A&B.

Kate's Homestead's KH57 (Rocket Man) earned 1st in class (black jr buck) in show A and BOB in show B.
Very proud of this fella! Loving how he's growing so far. He'll be introduced to a lady or two here in another month or so 🤞

Chocs did well also, but unfortunately there weren't enough for BOV/BOSV/class legs 😩

This will be our last show until fall. See y'all then!
P.S. Big thanks to Bryan Shirk and Dale Mize for judging the foxes in A and B 😊
