💙 Aug. 11, 8pm - Tootsie surprised me with triplets on her due date! I would've guessed just one large baby, but I'm thankful to have these healthy little babies.

💗 All 3 are blue eyed, and, it's looking like a mix of polled & horned.

📌 The buckling is black and white, the other two are doelings. All 3 will be horned, are brown eyed, and ADGA registerable. If you're looking for dairy lines, their granddam is a 4*M.

Wednesday, July 8th

🐐 I told Plum the midwifery closes at 10pm, but I'll be there whatever time she kids!

📌 Why do I rip open the sacks?
Most of the time, the doe does a good job of delivering the baby, getting up and cleaning off the new kid. Plum was so huge and wasn't getting back up, so I ripped open the sack if they didn't break. I don't want the kids aspirating more fluids so I get their faces and airways cleaned off asap so we can work on getting the fluid out of their lungs.

📌 Why do I help during the birth?
I try to attend every birth possible because you never know when things could go wrong. I've missed births before and found a kid that didn't make it because it was still in the sack 😢 I've been able to gain so much knowledge and many skills through these experiences.

🐐 It was a cool opportunity last month to have the Home Fresh Feed media team come photograph my herd & flock!

I've been feeding Home Fresh Feed to my herd for a few years now and love how well everyone (including bucks & kids) does on it. The chickens just started on Home Fresh too and they'll literally meet me in the driveway in the morning because they want their feed refilled!

📌 Comes from a *B buck and 2*M doe. Lines include Better Wayz, Little Tots Estate, Old Mountain, and Wooly Dog Down.

📌 I'm unable to successfully get this doe pregnant. She has had one positive pregnancy test in 2023, but lost it. Maybe you'll have better luck than me.
