Uthmeier's office issued a civil subpoena to General Mills and its Pillsbury subsidiary under Florida's Deceptive and Unfair Trade Practices Act, demanding records on bulk baking flours sold in the state from 2023 through 2026. Investigators are especially focused on products that ended up in Florida pre-K through 12th grade schools, saying families "have a right to know what is in the food they buy and feed their children."
