“Kassie should never be underestimated. Will is a winner and he trusts Kassie so even though he hasn’t had much experience in this situation, don’t underestimate them. Ever. I figured he might be timid the first round, but I knew he would be a big contender over 10 days.” -Three-time NFR qualifier, Danyelle Campbell.

There was a time when Albuquerque was mostly a place that travelers passed through on their way to Santa Fe or Taos, but in the last few years Albuquerque has become a destination in its own right. This is due to the city’s growth, the immensely popular Balloon Fiesta, and random things like the pop...

One of the volunteer horse rescues Ernesto has been a part of.
In the latest Signpost they got their facts Wrong Again. The Moma horse was found in dry creek bed, very sick and had to be put down, she was not hit on Highway165. The following is some of the real story..PS Tamaya Rehab People are GREAT, Thanks for all they have done for Tumbleweed.
Tamaya Horse Rehab We brought the little girl in my dad's (Ernesto Lopez) truck. She sat in the passengers seat with Gary Miles, the owner of Placitas Animal Rescue. Gary found the foal hiding behind a tumbleweed dehydrated and needing food. She had been following three males who had excepted her as one of there own, but there was no way she could have survived without the nutrients that a growing foal needs. With the help of Aida, a volunteer who had been caring for a new mother and her foal at the Stables at the Tamaya Resort and Spa, the foal was introduced to the mother horse and was able to begin nursing. Her belly was full in no time and we saw results immediately after about twenty minutes of nursing. The foal seems to be doing much better at the moment. We decided to call her Little Tumbleweed, naming her after the place Gary found her, behind a tumbleweed! I want to thank all the people who took time out of their days to save this foal. She is a sweet and adorable little girl and I believe we are all excited for her to become a healthy foal once again. Story by Paloma Lopez, 11 years old.
