We have eaten your wonderful carne asada since living in El Centro from 1965 to 1971. After many relocations we settled in Escondido, and were thrilled to see you open a store in town. We lived in Esco for 30 years and finally retired to Idaho. I introduced the family in Idaho to your Carne 8 yearss ago. Do you ship your Carne to your fans out of state? ( I was thinking in styrofoam shipping containers and dry ice.). The best to you and your expanded store.

How we looking on Prime Rib?

Over the weekend, we were called upon by a few remarkable local citizens to spread the word about their distribution of 22,000 lbs of high-quality beef for families in need and first responders. They just needed to get families there! We were in! A frenzy of texting broll, organizing images, meeting all the players virtually and drafting messaging began.

We commenced our outreach Friday late afternoon. Though they were off for the day, Jeff Zevely and Heather Michele Lake immediately responded; they were in, too! They contacted their collective stations and, on Saturday, nearly every news station in town showed up to cover it — some did advances that morning and the night before. And KPBS' Tom Fudge broadcast it on the radio. It even hit LA tv.

Chris Miller and his team at , Brandt Beef and Kennedy's Market Escondido banded together to serve upwards of 5,000 families over a span of nearly four hours. We applaud them for caring for their community — touching so many lives in an instant. ¡Sí se puede!

It's great to see businesses giving back to the communities that have supported them over the years.
