🌱 The h**p fields are coming on strong!

Just look at these babies thriving in the South Carolina sunshine. Every row represents hard work, dedication, and the future of sustainable agriculture. Watching these plants grow never gets old.

We’re excited about what this season holds and grateful for everyone supporting our journey from seed to harvest.

Crop termination is just a simple way of saying we are ending one crop so we can prepare the field for the next one.

At this workshop, we demonstrated how to terminate a cover crop using regenerative practices — no spraying, just equipment, timing, and technique.

We used the BCS walk-behind tractor from the South Carolina Black Farmers Coalition equipment-sharing program, along with a four-wheel tractor, both equipped with flail mowers. The goal was to show farmers how cover crops can be cut down, laid down, or managed so the soil stays protected while preparing the beds for the next cash crop.

This is what farmers learning from farmers looks like: hands-on, practical, and rooted in soil health.

Regenerative farming in action. 🌱🚜
