We tried something different tonight for supper. We put a sirloin tip roast on the grill and seared it and cooked it to a rare to medium rare. It was tender and very flavorful. I think it is something we will definitely be cooking again!!!

Just finishing the first 50 acres of hay. The good lord blessed us with 148 rolls this cutting. Next step is getting it to the storage area. The cows will be happy this winter.

While I was feeding the cattle this afternoon I noticed that Mother Nature was playing games with these little dandelions. I’m sur there is some cold weather yet to come!

We just picked up 2 calves from our processor just in time for your Valentines dinner. We have steaks, burger , roast, brisket, rack ribs and other cuts .

Siddens Farm Beef had 2 additions to our calf crop this week. We now have to help the moma’s watch out for black vultures, coyotes and Mother Nature, give the calves their vaccinations.
We spread fertlizer on the pasture and hay fields, mow hay , rake hay, bale hay,haul hay, feed hay and minerals to all the cows and calves ,wean the calves from their moma’s at 6-8 months of age or about 600 pounds. We mend fences after wind storms or after deer get into the fences. We bucket feed the calves by hand for 180-200 days rain or shine every day with non-medicated feed so you can get the highest quantity beef possible.
We deliver the finished cattle 120 mile round trip to the processor and dry age our beef for 21 days for the best beef . We drive another 120 mile round trip to pick up our beef and deliver it to you either to the farmers markets or directly to you. We at Siddens Farm Beef invest a lot of time making sure you have the finest beef available to you.
