Today, for #GivingTuesday, help us raise funds for a new tractor! Our current tractor, bought used 17 years ago, is ready for retirement. Through the years it has helped us to donate 20% of our weekly harvest to 12 local food banks, homeless shelters, church pantries, and other areas needing a little more love. In 2021 alone, we donated over 8000 lbs. to those in need in our community. Join us in continuing our mission on this #DayofGiving

Composting leaves is a terrific way to recycle and create a nutrient rich soil amendment at the same time. The benefits of leaf compost are numerous. The compost increases the porosity of the soil, raises the fertility, diminishes the strain on landfills, and creates a living “blanket” over your plants.
Please consider bringing your leaves to the farm for composting! All leaves can be left at the compost pile behind the greenhouse.

Update on the Healthy Harvest Grant resceived from Welborn Healthy Eating Active Living grant awarded to St.Vincent Evansville. Daniel Rodenberg and Farmer Joe have done a tremendous job and learning and building this system.
Thanks to a $125,000 grant from the Welborn Baptist Foundation, St. Vincent has created the Healthy Harvest program. The program will help bring healthy food options such as fresh fruits and vegetables to deserving individuals and families in the Evansville community. Grant funding helped purchase a greenhouse and hydroponic system that will allow for year-round growth of fruits and vegetables at Seton Harvest. The Healthy Harvest program would not be possible with the help of our partners such as Seton Harvest, Society of St. Vincent dePaul - Evansville, and local homeless shelters and schools.
