A place where people can be close to nature and enjoy a diversity of trees and shrubs. Many of the trees and shrubs seen at the Hartman Arboretum are native to Southern Indiana, Southern Illinois and Western Kentucky, also know as the Shawnee Hills area.
New plant varieties that are not common to this area can also be observed. We have a thriving wildlife garden that attracts thousands of butterflies. Late summer or early fall are the best times to see the butterflies in full array.

Summer is rolling in with a Southern Magnolia and then leaves can be beautiful too. There is the variegated redbud and the a nice combo of a red redbud and a yellow leaved redbud called Angel Eyes. .

happy first day of fall, y'all!
I've been sharing a lot about mini session dates, but I feel like I should update y'all on how quickly my availability is dwindling for fall sessions.
currently I'm down to two weekend sessions in October and six weeknights between now and the end of October. weeknight sessions will start at 4p in the next few weeks, then we have the time change so finding time in daylight will be harder and harder.
I love being able to open mini sessions to ensure I meet as many of you as possible during busy season, so if you cannot make time with me in these remaining 8 session times, please check out those seedling dates!

The Hughes Family is so close to my heart - they've been tribe members for over a year now - and watching them add to their bunch gives me all the feels.
