It’s about time I did a little farm update. To say I’ve been slacking is a HUGE understatement!

We had a rough winter/early spring with losses. We lost Milo and Asher within a week of each other when the first super cold front came through. We’re assuming from pneumonia.

In February ish we lost Z. We thought for the longest time she was pregnant. But I came out one day and she had passed, we think from bloat.

Maggie and April both ended up pregnant when the boys broke through the fence in the fall. They both delivered babies a week apart at the end of March. Maggie delivered two full term babies and one underdeveloped baby, and April delivered one full term baby. Unfortunately all of them were still borns. 😔

And we lost a few chickens here and there.

But we’re keeping our heads up and moving forward. Farm life isn’t easy, but it’s definitely rewarding!

Chickens are off strike and are producing again! Peep the odd fellow on top. 🤣
